This is one of the most common calls we get, usually because something is about to fail, a new shed is going in, or a property is being sold and the building has become a liability. We remove colorbond and galvanised iron sheds, timber-framed garages, brick and block garages, patios, pergolas, carports, chook pens and rural lean-tos.
Old fibro garages: a lot of sheds and garages from the 60s to the 80s are clad in asbestos cement sheeting. Do not take to it with a grinder or a crowbar. We're Class B licensed for non-friable (bonded) ACM, so the sheeting comes off intact under the right controls, is wrapped, tracked and disposed of at a licensed facility, and we handle WorkSafe QLD notification where the removal exceeds 10m².
The slab: you choose. We can leave a sound concrete slab in place for a new shed to sit on, saw-cut and lift it out completely, or break it out and backfill so you can turf over it. We'll price both ways so you can see the difference before deciding.
Tight backyards: plenty of Sunshine Coast and Gympie blocks have no side access. We work with compact machines and hand demolition where we have to, protect fences, driveways and gardens, and barrow out rather than drive over your lawn.
Steel is separated and sent for scrap, the rest is loaded and tipped, and we blow the pad and driveway down before we leave.
