Class B Asbestos Removal — done safe, done right

Old fibro walls, asbestos cement eaves, vinyl floor tiles, cement roofing — if your home was built or renovated before 1990, there's a fair chance bonded asbestos is in there. We're Class B licensed (WorkSafe Queensland licence no. 3030415) for non-friable (bonded) ACM, so it comes out under the right controls, gets wrapped, tracked and lawfully disposed of, and your home is safe for the reno.

What we remove: fibro sheeting (internal and external walls), asbestos cement eaves and soffits, vinyl and lino floor tiles and their backing, asbestos cement roofing and downpipes, and cement sheet used behind tiles and in wet areas. These are all non-friable (bonded) materials — the asbestos is locked into the matrix and safe while it's left alone. The risk starts the moment someone cuts, drills or smashes it.

How it comes out: bonded ACM has to be removed intact, wet down to stop dust, and never cut with power tools. We sheet up the work area, isolate it, and take the sheeting off in whole panels where we can. Everything is double-wrapped in heavy-duty polythene, labelled, and transported to a licensed facility with a waste tracking record. Air-quality clearance is coordinated where the job calls for it.

WorkSafe notification: under Queensland rules, removing more than 10m² of bonded asbestos requires notification to WorkSafe QLD before the work starts. We handle that paperwork side with you — you don't have to work out what form goes where.

What we don't do: Class B covers non-friable (bonded) ACM only. We don't handle friable asbestos (the fluffy or crumbly kind, like lagging on pipes or old sprayed insulation). If your inspection turns up friable material, we'll tell you straight away and point you to a Class A contractor — we'd rather lose the job than do it wrong.

Renovations and strip-outs: asbestos removal almost always happens inside a bigger job — a kitchen reno, a bathroom strip-out, pulling down an old lean-to. We can do the asbestos removal first and then carry on with the strip-out, so you're not juggling two contractors and two sets of dates.
